Shannon Cook, CPA

Shannon is a founding partner and head of the firm’s Real Estate, Business Development and Leadership Development Groups. Shannon has over 30 years of experience advising businesses in the contracting, home building, land development, and real estate investment spaces. Having had a primary focus on partnership taxation and real estate for so many years and being an active listener, Shannon brings expertise, awareness of opportunities, specialization, and strategies to tackle the issues that clients are faced with. He is passionate about identifying the potential each of his clients possess, understanding the issues that may be preventing them from realizing their maximum potential, and then taking ownership of ensuring his clients navigate those issues carefully and completely. His personalized approach is driven by paying close attention to their needs to help them define what they are ultimately trying to achieve: “Once I identify the client’s goals and the obstacles that stand in their way, I work with the client to create a roadmap that leads to accomplishing the goals. Working closely with the client as they progress toward their goals allows me to help them make adjustments along the way to stay on course.”

A graduate of Virginia Tech, Shannon is an enthusiastic outdoorsman. Outside of the office, you can find him either spending time with his family, on the golf course, or in the woods hunting.
